I don't quite understand why file creation mask is 755 and how I can enforce no execute bit on text files or on any files created from within filebrowser. |

I have the opposite issue. My files are created with 644 but I would like 755. Is there a config option for this? The documentation is not clear about this. |

I don't remember anymore what I did, but most likely I had to control this through If your
and make sure to create the following section above the appropriate comment line. The following is my configuration during edit: ### Editing /etc/systemd/system/filebrowser.service.d/override.conf
### Anything between here and the comment below will become the contents of the drop-in file

ReadWritePaths=/var/lib/filebrowser /mnt/data/filebrowser
# 007 - restricts access to others
UMask=007
