such a case arises when the host machine/VPS or whatever one is using reboots. The condition is due to docker requesting the directory before the cifs server is ready. so FileBrowser will either show 404 error or if the contents are mapped to /srv then it will show /srv in GUI which will be nothing but empty.
Solution -
we will delay starting of docker after the host reboots so that the cifs server becomes available.
in your linux host run the following command -
sudo systemctl edit docker.service
you will be presented with a file. after first two lines add the following -
[Service]
ExecStartPre=/bin/sleep 30
save the file by ctrl+X and then Y.
the problem should be fixed.
