Currently, one gets "subscribed" to follow-up comments and notifications automatically after submitting a comment on an update. There doesn't seem to be a way to unsubscribe from them or, indeed, any way to subscribe without commenting on an update.

Bodhi does not have a structure to support per-user personalization. Currently, when an update is updated, the list of person to be notified is made by the sum of the affected maintainers+all user that previously interacted with the update.
