make-psx-bios-package(1) Manual Page

NAME

make-psx-bios-package - builds a psx-bios Debian package

SYNOPSIS

make-psx-bios-package [options …] { file | directory | URL } […]

DESCRIPTION

Creates a Debian package from PlayStation BIOS images.

Each argument can either be a local file or directory, or a remote URL which will automatically be fetched. The resulting file can either be a BIOS image, or an archive file (.tar or .zip) containing one or several images.

Upon success, the resulting psx-bios package will be located in the current directory.

OPTIONS

--fullname name

Use name as full name in the package’s Maintainer field. Defaults to the DEBFULLNAME or NAME environment variable if set, or the local user’s name in /etc/passwd otherwise. (--help will display the default value.)

--email email

Use email as email address in the package’s Maintainer field. Defaults to the DEBEMAIL or EMAIL environment variable if set, or "local-user@hostname" otherwise. (--help will display the default value.)

--package-append string

Append string to the Debian package name ("psx-bios"). This defaults to a string derived from the BIOS version (yielding a package name such as "psx-bios-4.1a"), or "-multi" if the package contains more than one image. + string may contain only alphanumerics and the characters + - . (plus, minus, full stop).

--revision-append string

Append string to the Debian revision number. This defaults to "+local", to mark this package as being locally generated, instead of fetched from a repository. + string may contain only alphanumerics and the characters + . ~ (plus, full stop, tilde).

--compress-type type

Specify which compression type to use when building the package. Allowed values are gzip, xz, bzip2, lzma, and none (default is gzip).

--compress-level level

Specify which compression level to use when building the package. See the dpkg-deb(1) manpage for allowed and default values.

--filename filename

Filename (under /usr/share/psemu/bios) to be used for the next image. + This option is applied to the next file or URL, and cannot be used with archive files or directories.

--list-version

List all known BIOS versions.

--list-models

List all known models.

--force

Override safety checks.

--ignore-bad-files

Skip over bad files instead of aborting.

--help

Display a brief help message.

--version

Display make-psx-bios-package version information.
