CONFIGURE SUCCESSFUL in 9s |
i just updated to 5.11.0 and the issue is gone |
yeah you need to update [5,6) to 5.11.0 . After changing this, it will OK. ( clear cache and rebuild ) |
I got the same issue in Android Studio. |
implementation 'com.facebook.android:facebook-android-sdk:[5,6)' |
We missed. In above question, there is already solution. |
I changed |
Clear cache and Sync gradle and rebuild |

TEMP fixbug: node_modules/react-native-fbsdk/android/build.gradle |
I have also same issue , |
It's worked! Thank You. |
Well done guys, Thank you. |
yeah you can |
TEMP fixbug: node_modules/react-native-fbsdk/android/build.gradle |
it is working, try it guys |
5.11.0 is working |
5.11.0 is working fine |
change to: |
Facebook is really rubbish |
This work in React Native for now Set this from To |
I have got the same issue. I have used below dependancy implementation 'com.facebook.android:facebook-android-sdk:[5,6)' just change it to implementation 'com.facebook.android:facebook-android-sdk:5.11.0' the issue is gone. |
just change FB dependency to 5.11.0 instead of 5.11.1 |
FB latest update 5.11.1 is buggy, 5.11.0 is stable one. |
I have used below dependancy implementation 'com.facebook.android:facebook-android-sdk:[5,6)' just replace it with implementation 'com.facebook.android:facebook-android-sdk:5.11.0' that dependency issue resolved. |
Now the latest version in maven central repository is 5.11.0. Why Android Studio show me "ERROR: Failed to resolve: com.facebook.android:facebook-core:5.11.1" ? |
not working...pls mentioned all dependencies changed version from gradle file |
I was facing same issue |
Something similar to this fixed mine. Rebuild, and temporarily working... Also, for people who have safeExtGet('facebookSdkVersion', ...) in their react-native-fbsdk, you can also follow the solution I provided on another similar issue so that you won't be editing node_modules thing, and can share with your other team member via SVN/GIT etc. |
Required by: Could not find com.facebook.android:facebook-core:5.11.1. after updating this type of error showing in react native |
If you guys can't handle one library (worst in the world that have no uniformity ) please leave facebook / earth 😆 |
few minutes ago all was fine and now I have same error. Stupid facebook |
NOTE! 5.11.0 has a critical bug that maxSdkVersion="18" was imposed to your main project!!! |
30 minutes before, there was no build problem! |
What version should I use? |
It IS better to have a maxSdkVersion imposed and the project running, instead of the project doesn't run at all. Most of us know that keep using older version isn't a permanent solution! (Yes, some people don't know that) |
I'm having the same problem. But ios not having problems. |
Hi all, there was an issue in v5.11.1 and v5.11.2 is released. Close the issue now. |
