Hi!
I use this great website for learning Kanjis, and recently, to help my child remember the kanjis also!
the feature that add Dict words on the card helps a lot not to be confused between kanji with similar sense.
Unfortunaltely, translation is only in english, and they don't speak (yet) english.
i imagine the dictionnary used might be JMdict and maybe it could be technically possible to select the language just set to english by default.
if so, would it be possible to add an option in profile to select favorite languages for dict ?
I think it can help young students whose native language is Japanese, but not going to scool in Japan, but also a lot of people, like me, who do not have a sufficient command of English to grasp the subtleties of this language.

Thanks !
Thomas.

It would be also nice to select preferable language for your account. This feature will be useful for:

  1. site localization
  2. language of your stories when you share it
  3. option to sort users stories by your language. Also you can disable languages that you don't know. For example, I'm Russian native and I want to see only stories on Russian or English. But I can see many stories in French or Arabic before I find even one story in Russian
  4. keywords in your language. As I know RTK has official French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Polish, Portuguese, Hungarian, Italian, Swedish, and Hebrew versions
  5. dictionary in your language like Thomas wrote. I don't know exactly what a dictionary kanji koohii uses but Jmdict has limited translations in different languages.
