Hi, instead of continue on the "port jade rendering to php" route, I leverage the native jade compiler to stick to the latest Jade template standard while still using PHP for data passing. See if it's helpful.

I was looking to the issue queue and found there are still quite a few issues opened. I would love to see this project continue in an active support mode.
