Quick Scan Landscape Mode #59
Comments
Could you share a video recreating the problem? |
Actually it comes up at random times, i should have given a reference screenshot. Here, I managed to recreate it once All pictures were taken in potrait mode of camera, but only the first appears as such. |
Does this issue occur only when using quick scan? |
Yes |
We have tested it multiple Samsung devices but could not recreate this problem. I guess it should be a problem with the phone's camera. If not, share a video recording recreating the problem. Edit: |
I just tried this app on my Poco X3 and used Quick Scan in portrait mode. The app works fine, however when I open the saved pdf file in any pdf viewer app, all pages appear rotated 90° ccw (landscape mode). Not sure if I'm doing something wrong. |
@eleius Are the images in landscape mode only in pdf or also in the app? |
@vikram0230 in the app they're shown in portrait mode, only pdf pages are shown in landscape mode (in pdf viewers) |
Does this occur with normal scan and importing from gallery? |
In normal scan + import from gallery the resulting pdf is ok. It only occurs when using quick scan > export > save to device (pictures are in portrait mode in the app, but the resulting pdf has all pages in landscape mode... I tried several times, taking 3 pictures every time) |
HEIF was disabled already. |
Issue: Quick Scan
Device: Samsung Galaxy M21
Temporary fix: Even though the Device camera appears in potrait, the image appears in landscape.
Temporary fix found on my device is that for every scan of a page, calibrating the accelerometer by shaking it once in the vertical direction detects gravity properly and fixes the landscape problem.
