Description

We need to make sure that espanso works well with screen readers and other accessibility/assistive tools. Not an area where I have any experience, so we'll likely need to do some research here

Motivation

Espanso should be available to everyone

Alternatives

No response

Have you tried building it? Or would you like it?

  • I'd be willing to contribute this feature to Espanso myself.

I like this topic. Can you help me understand what is the bug or feature we want to fix/add?
Do we need to fix something with screen reading and current espanso, and/or we need to make espanso "readable" to be used by voiceover tools?

On another note and for the website, there could be some actions taken over the readability and colours to achieve the same goal on the docs. (That would mean a feature request there)

At the moment this is more of a research project than a specific complaint; I don't use a screen reader or any other assistive tech, so I don't know if Espanso works with them or not. But I want to make sure it does, so I was adding this issue to make sure that not only do I not forget about it, but that the rest of the team is aware of it too 🙂

And yes, excellent point, we also need to make sure that the website and the hub are accessible
