Autostart ripping not working

Describe the bug
Start ripping automatically doesnt work while still being selected in settings, using appimage 1.1.7 on linux mint

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Run the appimage
2. Go to settings > ripper settings
3. Select "start ripping automatically"
4. Insert cd

Expected behavior
When selecting the start ripping automatically option, if a cd is inserted and read, it should also start the ripping process

• OS: linux mint 21.2 cinnamon
• CPU: Intel core i3-12100
• RAM: 16GB

Additional context
I have ran this on many older setups, last one was an amd ryzen platform that ran superb. Only difference is the mint version, was running 21.1 "vera"
