With option "Clear album artist field if it matches track artist" DISABLED/UNCHECKED the album artist is removed anyway.

To reproduce:

  1. Disable the "Clear album artist field if it matches track artist" in the general settings (under Tag Editor)
  2. Load a .cue that has PERFORMER for the album the same as PERFORMER for its tracks (most albums).
  3. Convert to mp3 with "Standard" preset
  4. Inspect tags of output mp3s - The Album Performer is not there.

Expected behavior
The Album Performer should be written to the output tags since it is present in the input file and the option to remove it is disabled in the settings.

System

  • OS: Linux 5.10.0-26-amd64 SMP Debian 5.10.197-1 (2023-09-29) x86_64 GNU/Linux
  • fre:ac version: appimage, v1.1.7

@enzo1982 Sorry to bother you, but can you please take a look at this, it makes the music library harder to search by artist since the album performer is removed. I hope it's an easy fix since only an existing option is being ignored. Thank you!
