It would be good to be able to specify a proxy to run all requests though.

Definitely in favour of this - proxying is a pain atm and it's definitely needed for testing purposes!

Will see what we can conjure up :)

@emtunc mentioned running into complications with using python's trust store. This stack overflow answer might help.
