Unread forums not working properly #248

There seems to be a bug in the unread forum count which is appearing on the icon.
Some times when a user has made a reply and the other user has opened up machina the unread is not appearing on the topic.
And some times when the user has already read the topic still the topic is being shown as unread.
Please let me know if there are any changes that i will have to make to solve this problem.
