As mentioned in that ticket by hundreds of folks, this is still a bug. The automatic debugging stuff doesn't help at all.
IMO it's pretty unacceptable to get an odd javascript error.
For me the issue was the odd way elementor passes parameters to the edit page wasn't picked up in my nginx "try_files $uri $uri/ /index.php;" - "try_files $uri $uri/ /index.php$is_args$args;" was required.
Disabling permalinks helped make it work temporarily. Maybe should mention that in the debugging stuff that does come up with "safe mode"
Steps to reproduce
Have nginx with "try_files $uri $uri/ /index.php;" in the server configuration
Expected behavior
It should either just work or show a better troubleshooting message.
Isolating the problem
This bug happens when only the Elementor (and Elementor Pro) plugins are active.
This bug happens with the Hello Elementor theme active.
I can reproduce this bug consistently by following the steps I described above.
