Error when upgrading NVIDIA drivers to 525

There appears to be a syntax error in the DMKS post-install script /usr/lib/dkms/common.postinst here:

Indeed lsb_release does not have a -u option.

Did I mess something up with my system or it's a bug? /usr/lib/dkms/common.postinst belongs to dkms package which has elementary3 in its version tag, so I guess there were some elementaryOS patches added to it? (not sure how to check that)

Hello,

Based on your install log you have not messed your system up. The error you found is a bug in a patch elementary has on DKMS.

That error however should not prevent you from installing the nvidia drivers, the next line in the log sheds some light that ;

Module build for kernel 5.15.0-88-generic was skipped since the                                                                         
kernel headers for this kernel does not seem to be installed.  

It appears your system is missing the kernel headers required for building the nvidia module. The package linux-headers-generic should install the correct headers and keep them updated.

You may have to rerun DKMS manually to build the modules after installing the headers, this can be done with the following command:

sudo LSB_OS_RELEASE=/usr/lib/upstream-os-release dkms autoinstall -k $(uname -r)
