Tested on PROD with a released public model

Mmh. I have tried to replicate this on dev with the following variables:

  • Model released but not public, user with model_creator and model_viewer --> ok
  • Model released but not public, user with model_creator only --> ok
  • Model public, user with model_creator and model_viewer --> ok
  • Model public, user with model_creator only --> ok

At this point I'm somehow expecting this is already fixed in dev, but I'm not sure which task fixed the matter as a side-effect.

@kolotu just tested on prod as well for good measure (a simplified use case, when the user had both viewer and creator roles on a published model).
It did not replicate either :/

If this is not likely Bosch OAuth providers vs GitHub (as we discussed separately), I can only imagine narrowing it down to either/or:

  • Your specific Bosch Iot SuiteAuth user
  • Something wrong with the Octopus model the situation replicates for you on
  • Something related to the additional roles your user has on the namespace

Either seems pretty weird... going to give this one a break since its replication is at the very least "sporadic" or "limited".

After testing on prod, with my own suite-auth user:

  • Works on both octopi
  • Works both with viewer+creator or all roles

I think at this point this is some issue with your user only - not sure how I can replicate it :(
