This is a follow-up issue as suggested by @htreu.

Currently, lists in the Paper UI have a border line, while MD style rather uses a different background color on which lists appear as cards.

I'd suggest to follow that approach throughout the Paper UI (e.g. by chosing a light grey background for the pages).
