I built a model containing two nodes and one connection.
I gave every node and connector a unique name as their ids, and saved the model to a file like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <graph:GModel xmi:version="2.0" xmlns:xmi="http://www.omg.org/XMI" xmlns:graph="http://io.github.eckig.grapheditor.model/1.0"> <nodes id="node1" type="operation-node" x="276.0" y="252.0"> <connectors id="node1#trace-input-0" type="trace-left-input"/> <connectors id="node1#trace-output-0" type="trace-right-output" connections="//@connections.0" x="151.0" y="50.5" connectionDetachedOnDrag="false"/> </nodes> <nodes id="node2" type="operation-node" x="540.0" y="240.0"> <connectors id="node2#trace-input-0" type="trace-left-input" connections="//@connections.0" y="50.5"/> <connectors id="node2#trace-output-0" type="trace-right-output" connectionDetachedOnDrag="false"/> </nodes> <connections source="node1#trace-output-0" target="node2#trace-input-0"> <joints x="484.0" y="303.0"/> <joints x="484.0" y="291.0"/> </connections> </graph:GModel>
Then, when I try to load this file, the connection cannot find the correct connectors.
So, I tried the demo, and find the model like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ASCII"?> <graph:GModel xmi:version="2.0" xmlns:xmi="http://www.omg.org/XMI" xmlns:graph="http://io.github.eckig.grapheditor.model/1.0"> <nodes x="1211.0" y="1043.0" width="157.0" height="181.0"> <connectors type="left-input"/> <connectors type="right-output" connections="//@connections.0" x="157.0" y="60.5"/> <connectors type="right-output" connections="//@connections.2" x="157.0" y="121.5"/> </nodes> <nodes x="1403.0" y="899.0" width="121.0" height="97.0"> <connectors type="bottom-input" connections="//@connections.0" x="60.5" y="97.0"/> <connectors type="right-output" connections="//@connections.1" x="121.0" y="48.5"/> </nodes> <nodes x="1619.0" y="1007.0" width="145.0" height="97.0"> <connectors type="top-input" connections="//@connections.1" x="72.5"/> <connectors type="bottom-output"/> <connectors type="bottom-output"/> </nodes> <nodes x="1499.0" y="1199.0" width="157.0" height="109.0"> <connectors type="right-output"/> <connectors type="left-input" connections="//@connections.2" y="54.5"/> </nodes> <connections source="//@nodes.0/@connectors.1" target="//@nodes.1/@connectors.0"> <joints x="1464.0" y="1104.0"/> </connections> <connections source="//@nodes.1/@connectors.1" target="//@nodes.2/@connectors.0"> <joints x="1692.0" y="948.0"/> </connections> <connections source="//@nodes.0/@connectors.2" target="//@nodes.3/@connectors.1"> <joints x="1440.0" y="1165.0"/> <joints x="1440.0" y="1254.0"/> </connections> </graph:GModel>
This demo model can be loaded correctly. Obviously, when the id property is not set, the connection's source and target use some kind of path to represent the connector.
So I'm guessing I should not set id, or used it in a wrong way.
