This is a space for fond testimonials about Wetterdienst.

Have a feature you love? Had a moment of joy with the software or any insights from analyzing the data?

Please share your stories!

P.S.: This has been created after learning from saulpw/visidata#595 by @anjakefala, thanks!

Hi again,

like the subject says, I just wanted to thank you for this brilliant piece of software @gutzbenj and @meteoDaniel conceived the other day.

After getting in touch through #50 in the midst of 2020, we have been able to bring in many features and engagement from the community. Special thanks go to @kmuehlbauer, @wetterfrosch, @jlewis91, @Zeitsperre and @mhaberler for providing a tremendous amount of valuable suggestions, support and code in order to drive this thing forward as well as @larsrinn, @steffen746, @sk-drop, @e-dism, @hallojs, @libPhipp, @DaemonNet, @MuellerSeb, @JohannaSte and @joroeder for also providing valuable feedback as early adopters.

Also, I would like to ping @marians, the original author of dwd-weather, to let him know where we have been coming from.

Last but not least, I would like to thank @gutzbenj for his tireless work on all edges of the code base. I am really grateful for being part of the journey.

With kind regards,
Andreas.

Dear @amotl ,

I am very thankful for what has happened in 2020 with this library and with our community. Special thanks goes to you being the main driver of the motivation that followed your effortless support after your first intervention in this project in the mids of 2020. Looking at the contributions everyone may recognize what that meant to me and it definitely gave me the opportunity for a much more meaningful contribution then to any other project especially during this pandemic.

To wrap it up, that's just the first step and many more things are going to follow in the next year!

So until then: Cheers and stay healthy!

Hi again,

I just had a short conversation with @mkleen about what we are doing here and he apparently liked it very much. We will be happy to hear back about any ideas which come to your plate and also appreciate any further comments, Michael!

With kind regards,
Andreas.
