I receive the above error when running E2G on the new v5.4 branch. This error does not occur on the v5.3 branch.

OS: Ubuntu 20.10
Build options: --enable-sslmitm=yes
Commit: 3ce57b5 (grafted, HEAD -> v5.4, tag: v5.4.3r, origin/v5)

same here using --prefix=/usr/local/e2guardian --with-proxygroup=nobody --enable-icap=yes --enable-clamd=yes
you can test it with docker run -it bedag/e2g:5.4 or docker run -it bedag/e2g:5.4-debug

@javier-acosta-m There is no fix, but there is a workaround. You must pass the -c option with the configuration file path, for example:

e2guardian -c /etc/e2guardian/e2guardian.conf
