When creating a new Maildir from a Gmail account, and opening said Maildir through an IMAP server, the client won't see any folders because he won't be subscribed to them. IMAP servers save settings like the subscribed folders in setting-files inside the mailbox. This is not part of the Maildir protocol and is implemented differently by all IMAP servers. Some are compatible with others.
The proposal is to add a setting to gmailcc to automatically generate a subscription-file for a specified or all supported IMAP servers, so that the webclient can see all Labels without the user having to manually subscribe.
