The History, Preventives, Demographics, are listed on the left. Most languages are left to right, so reaching to the left for a side pane is more natural when the side pane is used frequently, which is to be expected in this case.

Hi,
@rattaro This design is on purpose. let me explain. The mouse for right handed persons is on right. Therefore the cursor excursion is less if the sidebar is on the same side as the mouse. Can you bear with me for some time here. This is only an experiment. I can easily change it. In fact I am planning to accomodate some of these UI user features by creating a UI user profile so that it is configurable by user. I know this kind of leaves the left handed user un happy now, but please bear with me. We can always vote it out :-)
If you are satisfied with the explanation can we consider this closed ? ;-)

I don't think the left/right-handedness of mouse users is an issue here. It's the relative positions of associated controls. Also check your pointer position occasionally and you may find it spends most of the time in the middle of the screen, particularly when at rest.

Btw, I'm right-handed but my mouse is directly in front of me and turned side-ways. I'm constantly and unconsciously rotating movement so that, eg, I move my right hand towards my left to move the pointer up the screen. I'd probably be doing the same but opposite if I was left-handed :-) I've been doing this for so long I can't remember why originally but possibly so I could have open books on both the left and right. Back to the topic: the mouse mileage will be the same for everyone for the same UI regardless of where the mouse is. Left/right-handedness would be an issue if we were discussing touch screen devices.

@rattaro , @dmoco so do you think I should move the sidebar it back to the Right ? I am absolutely open to that. We can also have a UserUIProfile which remembers how we want our basic layout elements to be. I suppose that should not be difficult.
