What about add a transport to use a collection as a message queue?

Did you try https://packagist.org/packages/kcs/messenger-extra ?
It has a mongodb transport, but doesn't seem to depend on doctrine.

No @arendjantetteroo, thanks for your recommendation. But it would be nice to officialy support it.

Doctrine doesn't add value for a messenger transport.
There is an other bundle, that I didn't try: https://github.com/facile-it/mongodb-messenger-transport.
