PPG MAY 2019 States Para 21 that all viability appraisals should have an executive summary prepared in accordance with the govt's data format available on line. As far as I can see this format is not currently available. Am II missing something, if so please point me to it.

Will the standard format apply to both site specific viability appraisals and area wide viability appraisals as used for Local Plan and CIL Examination purposes. There is no shortage of published area wide viability studies all of which have either been through examination or are in the process of going through it.

An early, low fidelity prototype for an index of viability assessments can be found at https://section-106-prototype.herokuapp.com/viability/, containing executive summary data. Paragraph 21 links to a project page (https://digital-land.github.io/project/developer-contributions/) containing this prototype alongside any future ones the government may develop.

For now, paragraph 21 sets out what to include in a viability assessment executive summary as a minimum. The goal is to make the main findings of the viability assessment accessible to communities, and therefore executive summaries should feature in all viability assessments including those used for planning applications, plan making, and CIL charging schedules.

Please note that the new RICS professional standard also includes the requirement for an executive summary in all viability assessments (in accordance with paragraph 21), as set out at 2.11 here: https://www.rics.org/globalassets/rics-website/media/upholding-professional-standards/sector-standards/building-surveying/financial-viability-in-planning-conduct-and-reporting-rics.pdf.
