I compiled and run the latest commit myself without issues, but your mileage may vary.

My build is still up to the f894782 commit, last I checked. I haven't tried compiling the very latest one.

Edit: attaching a build of the latest commit which installs and boots fine on an Old3DS. Try at your peril, nonetheless.
