Issue in the UK with "OSM based map apps" causing mountain rescue call-outs to cragfast (too frightened to move) hikers
https://www.thegreatoutdoorsmag.com/news/concerns-raised-over-crowdsourced-maps-used-by-popular-hiking-apps/

On opentopomap the area is here
https://maps.walkingclub.org.uk/openstreetmap.html?center=54.62970,-3.21814,16

Path to SE of "Barf" summit is marked as a 'difficult' ( dot dot gap, dot dot gap, ...), but that's not immediately obvious to someone viewing the map.

Maybe add some kind of clearer warning (e.g. red exclamation marks) could be used to render the path .

Second issue is "challenge routes" being added to OSM, which don't exist as proper paths in reality, again, could a clearer warning be used.

OSM say the paths are correctly tagged in the database, it just the map-renderers aren't making it clear that they are climber's scrambles rather than walker's paths.

THANK YOU for the amazing work on opentopomap. Very much appreciated!
