FlexASIO is not available for certain apps

I'm running windows 11 arm on a mac silicon machine via Parallels.
I've installed FlexASIO in order to use it with a Acourate (a digital room correction program).
I can't see FlexASIO in audio devices list in Acourate.
If I launch the Acourate trial application FlexASIO is available there and works great, but I need it to work in the full version of Acourate.
Any idea?

I'm not familiar with Acourate. Can you try any other ASIO driver (e.g. ASIO4ALL) and see if you have the same problem? That may help pinpoint if the problem is with Acourate or with FlexASIO.

I have both registry entries (see photo). I've tried re-installing FlexASIO several times.
btw, I reached out the Acourate Developer and asked him to try FlexASIO on his system - he confirmed that it works.

Oh, I realize I missed this from your original report:

It's quite possible you're the very first person to attempt to run FlexASIO on Windows ARM, ever… that may be the crux of the problem - I never tested the installer on Windows ARM, and it might be getting confused because CPU arch considerations are somewhat more subtle on such systems.

If reinstalling FlexASIO doesn't fix the issue, it probably means I need to look a bit closer as to how the installer is treating Windows ARM systems.

No, you don't. You don't have FlexASIO under the 64-bit key (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ASIO). That explains the issue.

Ok I think I understand what's happening. I think the FlexASIO installer is just confused and believes Windows ARM does not qualify as "Windows x64", therefore it doesn't install the 64-bit version of FlexASIO.

Yes, that should be doable. In the FlexASIO installation directory, you should have a x86 (for 32-bit) directory and a x64 (for 64-bit) directory. I'm not sure the installer will even write the files for 64-bit in your case, so if they're missing, here they are for FlexASIO 1.9: x64.zip

After you confirm the files are there, open a command line with administrator rights, navigate to the x64 directory, then run: regsvr32 FlexASIO.dll. You should see a success message. From that point you should be good to go.

Glad to hear it. Filed #206 to track, hopefully I'll find a clean fix for the next version of FlexASIO. (I may enlist your help testing the fix as I don't have any Windows ARM machine to test on.)
