Unable to get API Key? api.census.gov times out?

Hello, I've been semi checking on this for the past 3 weeks but the issue is still lingering. Would you happen to know the situation around api.census.gov? I am outside the US, and am unable to access api.census.gov with my existing API key. And cannot load the site to get a new API key.

First, get yourself a Census API key.
This link has also failed to work for the past couple weeks. My assumption was the issue would eventually be fixed, but as it's gotten longer I got more suspicious.

I tried emailing the support on census.gov but seemed to get a confused response. I will try again though and update here if I find out anything.
