Increase of number of characters for Acronym on Status

Hi Dan,

We're in a need to add a status for Leave of Absence (LOA) that will make more than the limit of 2 characters. Is there a way to increase the acronym to 3 characters? Right now we're using LA, but teachers are getting confused.

We have students who need to take a "leave of absence" is a leave that allows a student to be off for a limited period of time and return to his/her course when the leave ends.
