Until now, the v4.x.y release line of gr-satellites supported both GNU Radio 3.10 and 3.9, since the differeces between these two versions of GNU Radio were small enough that the same code base could be used.
I have added a new C++ block to gr-satellites called fixedlen_to_pdu that uses the
vector_type
from GNU Radio. This has been moved fromgr::blocks::pdu
(from gr-blocks) togr::types
(from gr-runtime) in 3.10, so using the same code base for 3.9 and 3.10 is no longer easy.Moving on, the gr-satellites code bases for GNU Radio 3.9 and 3.10 will be different. Releases supporting GNU Radio 3.10 will be called v5.x.y (starting with v5.0.0), while releases for GNU Radio 3.9 will continue in the v4.x.y line. Versions of gr-satellites supporting GNU Radio 3.10, 3.9 and 3.8 will be released simultaneously and having the same functionality as usual.
The branches of the repository have also been re-organized according to this change. The organization is described in the README.
