During the upgrade, we lost this feature. Apps are now just alphabetically sorted. Apps towards the end of the alphabet, e.g., yFiles, have noticed decreased downloads!

We need to restore the sorting of categories/search results by downloads

For now, we can start work on a totally new sorting feature button. The problem with older one was that objects weren't being sorted in a correct manner, reason being unknown even now!
