Chrome update and page keeps relaunching when trying to run test.

Current behavior

Whenever chrome gets an update cypress gets the update before my actually chrome browser on my laptop. Then when I am using cypress and trying to run a test on chrome, chrome then on cypress tries to update the browser constantly and I can't run a single test because the cypress chrome page just keeps trying to update and relaunch. How do I avoid this conflict?

I want chrome to work without any issues so that I can use cypress properly .

Same here...And it seems the Chrome updater is always running and i cannot update Chrome outside of Cypress.
Is there a way to use a particular version of Chrome on Cypress?

I am still experiencing this issue with Cypress. It alwasy blocks my tests while running on Chrome. @cypress-github-team-services-sa @cypress-app-bot

The Google Chrome opened by Cypress cannot be updated. You need to stop the test, and open Chrome as you normally would, then update it. After that, your Cypress test should start working as expected.
