What

In Rook(*1)/Ceph community, some users encountered hang_task in XFS. Although Neco hasn't hit this problem, it's better to fix it for Rook/Ceph community. In addition, we might hit it later.

How

Describe how to address the issue.

Checklist

  • Finish implementation of the issue
  • Test all functions
  • Have enough logs to trace activities
  • Notify developers of necessary actions

This problem doesn't come from Rook and happens due to kernel. In addition, the detail of this problem is described in Rook/Ceph's common issues. So I consider this Rook's issue can be closed.
