If we have the time we should revisit this problem again. Over in microsoft/Azure-Kinect-Sensor-SDK#1790 someone asked why I gave a recipe for loading k4a 1.3 on newer Ubuntu versions, in stead of the newer k4a 1.4. And this issue is at the root of that.
