I saw that you are referencing the Java based "matrix-android-sdk" instead of the (new) Kotlin based "matrix-android-sdk2" which might also be used for iOS.
Is there any reason for using the Java based lib?

When I started this sdk the sdk2 was just starting. Actually it’s kind of funny that you are asking because I intend to change to the sdk2 (for Android) in the next few days (as it has become pretty stable and feature complete by now).
I haven’t heard of using the Kotlin sdk2 in iOS, yet. I wasn’t even aware that using Kotlin in iOS is possible. Do you have any sources for that matter?
