Investigate distribution via universal package managers

In order to make installation for Linux users easier - it is very unlikely that cryptocat will find its way into the repositories of every Linux-based operating system, especially given the notorious lack of a tarball release which I have requested long ago - I'd suggest to investigate distribution via universal package managers such as snap, flatpak, or guix which are usually included in many operating systems out-of-the-box and allow for easy installation. There may also be some security-related benefits such as sandboxing.
