fatal error of the installer on rails precompile assets

Hello,

I am installing Consul for the first time, and I wouldn't mind some help on a fatal error I have when running the installer playbook. Here's the message:

Could anyone help me with this? I don't even know where to start.

I am running an ubuntu 20.04 on my local machine, and an ubuntu 22.04 on a remote virtual server.

Could you run the command on the server where it's failing and check the error message you get?

the new run of ansible-playbook gave the output in the attached file on stdout, and the following extra warning messages (on stderr, I presume):

A couple of questions.

When you run the command on the server, how long does it take between the time when you run it and the time when it crashes?

How much RAM do you have on the server?

1 GB RAM for 1 CPU

I'm afraid 1GB of RAM will not be enough to compile the assets. You'll probably need 4GB. It might also work by increasing the size of the swap partition, but I've never tried it.

Ok, thank you. I might try to increase the swap before I upgrade to a more expensive server. I'll let you know.

Great! With a 4G swap file the installation process runs successfully till the end :-)
Thanks for your help.

Now, hopefully this memory setting will be enough for experimenting with the platform for a while, before we go live... But that's another story. Fingers crossed.
