I'm currently looking at using this code of conduct for a conference, but I'd also like to use it for smaller events, like meet-ups or hack days. But the word "conference" makes me hesitant to use it for those purposes.
If we changed "conference" to "event" the document would apply to a much broader range of things.
I can't see any downsides of this change, except maybe that the domain would have to be changed.
