Error: DEPTH_ZERO_SELF_SIGNED_CERT #302

Using node v0.10.3 and running 'component install' i'm getting the following error:

install : nib-templates/header@0.1.0
install : nib-templates/footer@0.1.0
install : nib-templates/layout@0.1.0
error : DEPTH_ZERO_SELF_SIGNED_CERT

A 'components' dir is not created, and the components obviously arent pulled in.
Reverting back to node v0.8.19 and running this is fine.

May be related to request/request#418
