I am not aware of any such standardization effort. How could we help? We can support this initiative from a technical front, if that would help. |

We use Cosmos SDK as the backbone for developing our Distributed Compliance Ledger (DCL), which is part of global standards for IoT device manufacturers, such as CSA and Matter. To enhance our ecosystem's interoperability and security, we aim to standardize the network ports used by the Cosmos SDK. Specifically, we are focused on ports 26656 and 26657, which are associated with CometBFT. We propose initiating the process to register these ports with the IANA, specifying port 26656 as the CometBFT P2P port and port 26657 as the CometBFT JSON-RPC port.
I'm interested to know if there has been any discussion in the CometBFT community about registering CometBFT ports with IANA. Have there been any attempts or plans to implement this initiative?
