Question: monitoring resource consumption and fine-graned perf during each test run

I just put the finishing touches on

• chore: simplify poolRoutine #2152

I think that it will reduce resource consumption and improve performance, but I don't currently have a way to prove that. I'm a big fan of treating CI as a single source of truth, so I was wondering if the maintainers would be interested in adding a system resource consumption and performance report to frequently run CI jobs, like e2e tests.

This would let us know when and if we are on the right track when refactoring for standards compliance and performance.
