Even for an experienced Linux user and computer programmer myself (though perhaps not an expert Linux user yet) your installation instructions are insufficient. I couldn't even figure them out until I came across this article online: https://imranfanaswala.wordpress.com/2009/02/02/setting-up-colorgcc/

I think the documentation is clear enough. If you follow that page, that could incur some issues. First of all, on most systems, /usr/local/sbin if your UID is 0 (e.g. the root user). If somebody gained access to that directory and modified those symlinks, they could easily take control of your system. If you'd like to see more clear instructions for installing, just look at the ccache installation instructions.
