I'm using pycolmap.incremental_mapping and trying to get a better idea of how matches in the database are selected to be kept, removed, and subsequently added to one or more output maps.
It looks like it the file https://github.com/colmap/colmap/blob/1f95f3ee74fdbc020ef2dca190ec56958ea5f9e1/src/colmap/controllers/incremental_mapper.cc is the where pycolmap.incremental_mapping binds to, but it's not immediately clear to me what governs whether an image is considered to be successfully registered and gets included in the map.
Might anyone be able to elaborate on the criteria a database match must satisfy in order not to get removed and be included in the output of pycolmap.incremental_mapping?
