After editing Obj Rep Relationships, Object May Have No Primary

I just had a weird result after juggling some object representations. At the last step, I had 2 Media representations attached to a specific object. I clicked "Edit full record" for the Primary rep, then changed the Related object.

Expected result:

The remaining Media representation should become Primary for the object.

Actual result:

Object has no Primary. Pawtucket is just as confused as I am, and displays the object with no media, even though the remaining media is "accessible".

Workaround:

I had to go back to the object again and click the "Make primary" and "Save" links.
