ACTIONS

  • Update "How to use Discord" document
  • Pin "How to use Discord" document to Slack channels
  • Message in "watercooler" channel at the start of the workshop directing people to the correct channel
  • Look into a Slackbot for when people join our Slack
  • Bruno send me the email for new starters
  • Look into automating an email for first-time virtual workshop attendees

Another bit of feedback I got from a newcomer:

When skimming the event notification email, the first date seen is the cut off time for cancelling. This lead to confusion because the student thought that this was the event time. They suggested to:

a) repeat the time of the event that is in the subject of the email in the body of the email
b) put the cutoff time in red
