Conf.yml: "I could use a sprucing up, couldn't I?"

...I'm not seeing an answer about something I'm seeing in our conf.yml file — does it matter if we use three quote methods in the same file? (no, single, and double quotes on strings without escape characters

We may want to step back and clean-up our main conf.yml file. As a newcomer, I found the comments and sections helpful... but I think we could reorganize/tidy up the additions that have been made over the years into a better cohesive unit.

It may be easier to do this level of revision after issue #8 is complete, as the use of string method could be bound to logic in an included file.
