After the discussion with few people , I have few questions on the feasibility , Please take them seriously:

  1. Face is not unique identity , twins have the same face, biometric are different.
  2. Photos on documents such as Aadhar Card , Passport are not updated , API will give the two persons who are same as different if they have changed in a year or two.
  3. Advantage on thumb printing that it is unique , no update required .

The above mentioned points are appropriate. Then following challenges would arise:

  1. All people don't have Aadhar card.
  2. Voter id card used by most people doesn't come with biometrics.
  3. what about young citizens who don't have either of them.
  4. Will the foreigners passport come with a biometric proof?
These are some of the points we need to keep in mind as well.

The follows can considered as answers

  1. Yes, very true but government aims to provide Aadhar card for all in future .
  2. We don't need voter id if we have Aadhar.
3)We will consider them manually , as we are dealing with 20%.
  3. Yes , there are in some countries even in India , but I am not sure for all.

let us research for the 4th point. If we consider 3rd point, parents won't want to stand in queue for their children,we need an alternative for that but i guess children are also issued the aadhar as well.
As for the present scenario Voter id is the most widely used id proof , but as of future we can consider Aadhars. Any further thoughts @aayusharora , @aakarshgoel96 and @anant-dev

Agree , Biometric Information can be easily taken from aadhar but not from voter id.
