Node 10 throws "Port is not open" error

Using a Raspberry Pi 400 (latest Bullseye), using nvm and npm to install cncjs. Was only able to use node 10 in order to install.

In the UI, I'm connected to /dev/ttyACM0. However, node throws following error after a few jogs. Any help would be appreciated. I'm a retired mobile software engineer, if I were able to help maintain this repo, what would it take?
