PEER

Procedure Execution with Enhanced Reality

Background

PEER is a head-mounted procedure display device developed by designed to increase crew member efficiency on the International Space Station. Developed by Team Novo's in partnership with NASA Ames Research Center, PEER is Capstone Project created as part of Carnegie Mellon University's Masters of Human-Computer Interaction program.

Specification

Description

Due to hardware limitations, PEER utilizes both a head-mounted disply (HMD) and a tablet in order to access the proper sensor input. All voice commands are handled by the tablet and their results send as commands to the HMD. The tablet also handles are augmented reality functionality.

The tablet portion of PEER can be found on its own github repo.
