We have a problem.

Apparently chad has broken the class.

Or maybe Jontay.

Update 2019-08-25:

You are allowed to steal ML code from libraries but are not allowed to steal code written explicitly for this course, particularly those parts of code that automate exploration. You will be tempted to just run said code that has already been overfit to the specific datasets used by that code and will therefore learn very little. That would make me sad... and angry.

Chad and Jonathan did yeoman’s work. Sadly many students would just run the code as is, yielding literally identical results and graphs (some actually copied said graphs).

ChedCode is no longer permitted for cs7641. Don't use it!

Has any investigation been done into the economic impact of the ChedCode ban? A cottage industry of ChedCode practitioners now exists, and the criminalization of the framework might have outsized and unseen effects.

@tcdowney

After running some ChedCode Models I have found that with the banning of ChedCode will cause unemployment to raise anywhere from 0.00001% to 96%. I am fairly confident in this range cause after all they came from ChedCode; assignment 3 to be exact. I just hope lawmakers take into account what the numbers are telling them and not just act off of gut instinct.
